[A] few months ago I went to CheckNGold in Dearborn on Telegraph Rd. just south of Ford Rd. [I] was told they pay higher than advertised anywhere. I weighed my gold before I brought [it] into CheckNGold. They told me it weighed 2.9 grams when in fact it weighed 5.9 grams. Yes, they may pay higher per gram but they scam you on the weight. Don't go there.
Why I recommend Max Your Gold:
They have an honest opinion and give [a] great price for your jewelry, twice or three times the value they give somewhere else. Thank you.
I had two pieces of gold - 10k, [or so] I thought. One piece had a 10k clasp. [After testing the chain, a Max Your Gold employee determined that the chain was in fact 14k, with a 10k clasp.] The chain was in fact a 14k piece and I was told so! Who does that? These people do.
After shopping at 3-4 different establishments, I found Max Your Gold to be professional and they offered the best price for my jewelry. I would recommend them to others.
I took my silver to Check-N-Gold at 12 Mile & Woodward because they claimed to have the best rate @ 75¢ per gram. They under-weighed my silver by over 100 grams and offered me $330.00. Max Your Gold offered me $407.00 based on the correct gram rate and 70¢ per gram!
I highly recommend Max Your Gold. I have been to many different stores and Max Your Gold has paid more than any other store I have been to. They are very professional and friendly.
I came in a few weeks and Michele was very fair [and] honest [as well]. My second time here I was helped by Bill and he was just as great. People lie these two are why I will always deal with Max Your Gold. Good place with great people!
